Responsibilities:

• Organize and coordinate activities of the Mechanical Maintenance Unit and provide services to the production units in terms of both corrective and preventive maintenance and ensure adequate availability of technical materials for Maintenance
• Must be capable of applying production, operational, Mechanical engineering and management principles to resolve mechanical problems
• Must have experience to resolve motor pump, conveyor, hydraulic system, mechanical and other industrial equipment problems
• Carry out routine checks on all mechanical and industrial equipment
• Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
• Assist and support HSES teams in ensuring compliance to Safety and Security Policies and procedures at Company’s locations
• Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
• Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering with 4-7 years work experience (preferably in the Soap Manufacturing Industry).
• Hands-on experience with packaging machines, utility (air compressor, chillers, boilers, generator) is an added advantage.
• AutoCad/ Design
• Adequate knowledge of machine use in soap production lines.
• Adequate understanding of soap manufacturing plants.

· Extensive knowledge of Mechanical Engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.

• Must have a proven ability to plan / lead projects and must be able to work under pressure.
• Must have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to work in a multidisciplinary and multi-tasking team.
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
