The Air Officer Commanding the Nigerian Air Force Mobility Command in Bayelsa State, Air Vice Marshal Aliyu Gaya Bello, has sought close collaboration with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, on different areas including social activities.

Bello who made the Force’s intention known during a courtesy visit to NCDMB’s Executive Secretary, Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote, a few days ago, also pledged the support of the Nigerian Air Force in lifting heavy machinery of the Board from foreign lands and across locations in the country.

The AVM commended Engr. Wabote on the successful completion of the Nigerian Content Tower and other giant strides the Board had recorded in promoting local content in the oil and gas industry and industrializing the economy.

Responding to the Air Force boss’s offer, Engr. Wabote thanked the Nigerian Air Force and other members of the armed forces for their sacrifices in ensuring the security of lives and property of Nigerians across the nation despite all the challenges facing the country. He noted that the relative security that is being enjoyed in Bayelsa State could be attributed to the presence of the Nigerian Air Force Mobility Command in the State.

The NCDMB leader therefore promised that the Board would take advantage of the airlifting services offered by the Air Force in moving some of the equipment acquired for its major projects in Bayelsa State and elsewhere; and assured the Air Force boss that the Board would continue to collaborate closely with the Nigeria Air Force and support their operations in Bayelsa State.

During the courtesy visit, Bello was accompanied by senior officers of the Nigerian Air Force Mobility Command in Bayelsa state, while senior management staff of the NCDMB were present with Engr. Wabote at the meeting.
