Energy & Corporate Africa, organizers of the annual Sub-Saharan Africa Oil and gas conference are happy to announce that Hon. Eng. Irene Nafuna Muloni, Ugandan Minister of Energy & Minerals Development amongst other energy ministers from the region and directors of petroleum directorates will be the prime time keynote speaker for this year’s 9th Annual Sub-Saharan Africa Oil & Gas Conference scheduled for April 27 -28, 2016 at the Marriott Westchase Houston. 

Hon. Irene Muloni is Ugandan electrical engineer, businesswoman and politician. She is the Minister for Energy and Minerals in the Ugandan Cabinet, and the elected Member of Parliament for Bulambuli. Uganda has become one of the significant new market frontiers for hydrocarbon activities in the region. Other keynote speakers are Emmanuel Bekee, Deputy Director/Head Upstream, Department of Petroleum Resources Nigeria, Mike Aryeetey, Chief Operating Officer- E & P Company of GNPC, Joseph Medou – E & P Director, Petrosen, Tim O’Hanlon – Vice President African Business, Tullow Oil, Ian Gordon – Director, Global New Ventures & Exploration Excellence, Noble Energy, Fernando Docters, Head- Oil & Gas, Americas, Standard Bank, Dr. Amy Jadesimi, Managing Director, LADOL, Helge Holen – CEO of PetroMarker and many others. It is also expected that Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu- Nigeria Minister of State for Petroleum and H.E. Etienne Ngoubou – Gabon Minister of Petroleum among other top government officials would participate in the conference.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Optimizing Upstream, Downstream and Ensuring Sustainability & Growth”. It gives credence to the current global market situation in the oil and gas industry where companies are seeking for ways to reduce CAPEX and OPEX in order to remain profitable amid the current low prices of oil.
