The director, planning, research and statistics (PRS) of the Nigerian Content Development and Management Board [NCDMB], Mr. Patrick Daziba Obah, has said that the recently concluded research and development round-table hosted by the Board was to assess the level of the organisation’s R&D activities.
He pointed that the event, of which participants were drawn from various sectors of the engineering and oil and gas sector, enabled the Board to analyze current energy trends, and identify what could be done to improve the landscape.
Obah also said the round-table considered funding and how well NCDMB is doing; the challenges and steps needed to mitigate them. “We also looked at infrastructural development, how that plays out in the R&D landscape,” he said
The director stressed that a key outcome of the round-table was the need for researchers to develop competencies in writing viable R&D proposals.
