The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Content Development Management Board, Engr Simbi Wabote has said in line with the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, proposition, NLNG Train-7 Project FID would create jobs, enhance participation of Nigerian businesses in the oil and gas sector, and address insecurity in the region.

Wabote revealed this when he received the Managing Director Nigeria Natural Gas, NLNG, Engr Tony Attah, recently at the Board’s Abuja liaison office.

Attah had visited Wabote to submit the outcome of the NLNG commercial evaluations on Train 7 Project.

Recall that Chief Timipre Sylva has directed that any encumbrance related to the FID of Train 7 must be addressed by all agencies/departments under his Ministry so that the FID could be taken in a matter of weeks.

In his remarks, Wabote commended NLNG for reverting in a timely manner to the Board and complying with Nigerian Content requirements.

“We are happy that NLNG has been consistent with the letters of the Service Level Agreement it signed with the Board in 2017

“We promised that the Board will complete the review of the submitted Nigerian Content requirements and revert to NLNG within a few days,” he said.

Attah made the submission, which represented the last step of NCDMB’s project certification and authorization procedure in compliance with the  Nigerian Content recently at the Board’s Abuja liaison office.
